Penfield Recreation and Penfield Rotary are partnering to honor longtime community member Nelson “Nels” Carman with the dedication of a bench on the Shadow Pines property on Tuesday, November 7 at 4 p.m. Those interested in attending are asked to meet along the trail adjacent to the Clark Road Barn on the Shadow Pines property at 4 p.m. From that point, attendees will walk to his favorite tree where the event will take place, and the bench will be located.
“Nels was an incredible member of our community and contributed a great deal to the Town of Penfield,” said Town Supervisor Debbie Drawe. “I want to thank Penfield Rec and Penfield Rotary for organizing this tribute in a place Nels enjoyed so much.”
