In front of or within five feet of a public or private driveway.
In front of, in or within 20 feet of the driveway, entrance or paved approach to any fire station.
Within a fire lane.
Within a traffic lane.
On a sidewalk.
In an area or space posted as a no-parking zone.
Outside of designated and striped parking spaces within a parking area.
In a fire lane or in an area or space posted as a no-parking zone on all school properties, whether public or private, within the Town of Penfield, provided that the school district or private institution owning such property shall first file with the Penfield Town Clerk a written consent that these restrictions be enforced on its property.
On any street or parts of streets described within Town Code Schedule VIII (§ 220-29).
Pursuant to NYS V&T § 1660, Subdivision 8, parking of any vehicle is prohibited on all roads and shoulders, including New York State highways, from November 15 to April 1 between the hours of 2:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. (local time).
A. Any vehicles left, abandoned or permitted to remain parked unattended in violation of this section shall be deemed a nuisance and a menace to the safe and proper regulation of traffic. The Superintendent of Highways, his/her employees or any police officer may remove or cause to be removed any such vehicles to any location without any liability for damages to the vehicle. The owner or person in charge of such vehicle shall be required to reimburse the Town for the actual and necessary costs of removal and storage thereof before he/she is entitled to regain possession. Such reimbursement shall be in addition to any penalty for violation of this chapter as set forth in § 220-21.
B. It shall be the duty of the Superintendent of Highways and/or police officer, as the case may be, to ascertain to the extent possible the owner of the vehicle or person having same in charge and notify him/her of the removal and disposition of any vehicle removed as provided in this section and the amount which will be required to redeem same.
G. After hours. No person shall park any vehicle or permit any vehicle to remain standing on any roadway, parking area, or any other area within the boundaries of any park, or any other Town-owned property, in excess of the length of time and between the hours hereinafter specified, except in the case of emergency vehicles or as otherwise authorized by the authorized Town official. No parking or standing shall be allowed in any parks between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. prevailing local time in the Town of Penfield.
