Boards, advisory boards, and committees play an essential role in local government. A legal board is a decision-making board that can consider recommendations given to them by advisory boards and committees. Whether created by the Penfield Town Board or by New York State Statutes, each group has been established to secure the participation of citizens to promote good government and the effective and efficient delivery of services.
The Penfield Town Board encourages residents to participate in local government and appoints a number of positions each year for a range of volunteer opportunities. For more information about town boards, advisory boards, and committees please contact the Town Clerk's Office at: (585) 340-8629.
