The Town of Penfield Historic Preservation Board will host Historic Preservation Appreciation Day on Saturday, October 8 from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. at Penfield Town Hall (3100 Atlantic Ave).The free event will feature a variety of activities to help inform the Penfield community about the historic preservation of local buildings including information about historic homes within Penfield.
During the event, three guest speakers will discuss the importance of preservation, how to prioritize and regularly maintain historic homes/properties, and historic landscape architecture. Additional activities include a historical photo matching game, architectural bingo, and architectural coloring pages. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided for attendees.
All members of the public are invited to attend this free, family-friendly event.
