Town Supervisor Jeff Leenhouts invites you to the Town of Penfield Eclipse Watch Party on Monday, April 8. The community event will take place at Harris Whalen Park (2126 Penfield Road) from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The event will feature food trucks, local community groups, and arts and crafts. An indoor viewing party will also be set up in Harris Whalen Lodge in the event of inclement weather.

Parking will be available, please follow posted instructions upon arrival. The Town of Penfield encourages those attending to walk if possible or carpool to limit congestion on area roadways. Residents are also encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the event.

To prepare for the big day, free eclipse glasses are now available at Town Hall. Each resident is entitled to two free pairs. Glasses can be picked up at the welcome desk in the main lobby of Penfield Town Hall (3100 Atlantic Ave, hours of operation at 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) while supplies last. At the event, a limited number of free glasses will also be available. All glasses will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
