Marie Benedict Author Visit
Tuesday, August 15, 7:00 PM
For Adults | Registration is full
The event will be live-streamed beginning at 7 PM on August 15.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the schedule for the evening has been rearranged slightly. Local book vendor Book Culture will begin selling books at 5:45 PM and a line for purchases and/or book signing will open at 5:30 PM. Marie will be signing books for registered attendees until 6:45 PM. Her talk will commence at 7 PM as planned.

At this point, if you are unsure as to your registration status, please call us at 585-340-8720 and we'll check for you. If you were registered for the May 18 date and didn't cancel your registration, you have been moved to the August 15 registration list; same goes for patrons on the waitlist. Due to the number of people on the waitlist, we won't be able to accommodate walk-ins for either the book signing or lecture.

Meet Marie Benedict, the New York Times bestselling author of eight works of historical fiction including The Only Woman in the Room, The Mystery of Mrs. Christie, The Personal Librarian, and The Mitford Affair. A lawyer with more than ten years’ experience, Ms. Benedict found her calling in unearthing the hidden historical stories of women. Her mission is to excavate from the past the most important, complex, and fascinating women of history and bring them into the light of present-day, where we can perceive the breadth of their contributions as well as the insights they bring to modern-day issues.

This program is made possible through a grant provided by Senator Samra Brouk.
