The Penfield Public Library is a public library chartered by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York and a member of the Monroe County Library System. The Library's policies are set by a nine-member Library Board of Trustees appointed by the Town Board.
The Library offers a broad and ever-evolving collection of print and non-print materials (which include audio and video cassettes and dvds, cd-roms, books on cassettes and cds, music cds, computerized databases, Internet and computers for personal use.) It also provides many varied programs to meet informal learning, informational, cultural and recreation needs of the patrons of all ages, as well as gathering spaces to meet these needs.
The Library is located in the Penfield Community Center.
