MCDOT announces Whalen Road milling and paving project

The Monroe County Department of Transportation has announced a milling and paving project on Whalen Road. Work is scheduled to take place between Five Mile Line Road and Route 250 from Monday, September 11 through Friday, September 22. The MCDOT project team is making every effort to minimize impacts particularly as the school year begins.

Scope and tentative Schedule of events:  

• Milling of pavement to 1.5” depth (September 11-13)
• Temporary markings, Traffic loop repairs, and drainage adjustments will follow the milling work.
• Paving top course (September 18-20)
• Final pavement markings (September 22)

All dates are tentative and scheduling changes may occur in the event of inclement weather.
