Penfield DPW to host fall drop-off and recycling event September 29 and 30

The Town of Penfield will host a two-day fall drop-off and recycling event for Penfield residents on Friday, September 29 (7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and Saturday, September 30 (7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.) at the Penfield Department of Public Works (1607 Jackson Road).

Services offered include: 
  • Friday and Saturday: Metals and appliance recycling, brush disposal (no leaves or grass), clothing and linens donations, and bottle and can collection.
    • Accepted Materials: Household items - furniture, appliances (including refrigerators, dehumidifiers, air conditioners), lawnmowers (fluids drained), car tires (limit four), vehicle batteries, broken concrete, and brush.
    • There will be no electronics recycling at this event. Please do not bring household electronics (including TVs, computers, monitors, and copiers), propane tanks, grass clippings, leaves, chemical drums, hazardous materials, gasoline, motor oil, paint, and driveway sealer. 
  • Saturday only: Secure document destruction services by Certified Document Destruction & Recycling.
This event is for Penfield residents only. Proof of residency will be checked at the gate.
