MCDOT announces Five Mile Line Road milling and paving project

The Monroe County Department of Transportation has announced Five Mile Line Road as a mid-season addition to its milling and paving program. The project is scheduled to occur from Monday, August 21 through Tuesday, September 5. The MCDOT project team is making every effort to minimize impacts particularly as the school year begins.

Scope and tentative Schedule of events:  
  • Milling of pavement to 2” depth (scheduled for August 21)
  • Temporary markings, traffic loop repairs, and adjustments (following the milling, during the weeks of August 21 and August 28)
  • Paving top course (September 5)
  • Final pavement markings (September 5, tentative)
  • Traffic will be limited to northbound only on September 5 between Whalen Road and Penfield Road (NYS Route 441). Signage will be posted in advance and flaggers will be present to manage traffic flow.
Scheduling changes may occur in the event of inclement weather.
