Book Donations
We gladly accept donations of books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, and games year-round. We are unable to accept magazines, cassette tapes, or VHS tapes. Donations are accepted at the back of the library (door next to trailer) on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday between 10 AM and 1 PM. Donors should ring the doorbell to alert Sorting Room staff to their presence. Donations must be placed into the custody of Sorting Room staff and not simply dropped off.

Annual Book Sale
In addition to the Friends' mini ongoing sale in the library, every September, the Friends of the Penfield Public Library facilitate a mega book sale that collates the donations received throughout the year. The sale runs for several days, but the first day is a special preview sale day for Friends members. If you are interested in gaining access to the preview sale day of the book sale, you may join the Friends of the PPL at any time.

Friends of the PPL Memberships
A membership for an individual or a senior couple is $5 per year, and membership for a family is $10 per year. Membership runs from January 1 to December 31 and includes early admission to the current year's used book sale. Join at any time in the library at the Circulation Desk, or download a membership form, complete it, and return it to the library. We can accept cash or checks for membership payments. Checks may be made payable to "Friends of the Penfield Public Library".
