Councilman Bob Ockenden
Town Board Bob OckendenBob Ockenden was appointed to the Penfield Town Board in January 2020, and elected in November 2020. His current term will end in 2024.

Councilman Ockenden is Chair of the Town Board Public Safety Committee, and is liaison to the following: Penfield Youth Council, Veterans Organizations, Ambulance (PVEA & NEQALS),  and Fire Districts.

Councilman Ockenden is a 4th generation Penfield Resident and has served the Penfield Fire Company for more than 37 years, serving as Fire Chief 1999-2000 and is currently Chief Officer, Penfield Fire District. Councilman Ockenden also served 15 years as a publicly elected commissioner for the Penfield Fire District’s Board of Fire Commissioners.

Ockenden has served as the district administrator for the Pittsford Fire District for the past 19 years; prior to that, he served as station manager. Bob also worked for the City of Rochester as a 911 Center emergency dispatcher and for the Pittsford Fire Equipment Corporation as a sales representative and repair technician.

Councilman Ockenden resides on Henderson Drive with his family and enjoys participating in many different aspects of the community both as a volunteer and that of a resident.
