Councilwoman Candace Lee
Candace LeeCandace Lee is the first Asian American to be elected as a Town Councilwoman for Penfield. Her four-year term began in January 2022 and will expire on December 31, 2025. She continues to encourage bipartisan participation on various issues, particularly with the workings of town committees, to benefit all residents and improve government accessibility and inclusion.

Councilwoman Lee serves as the current Chair of the Law & Finance Committee, in which she works closely with the Town Supervisor on budgetary matters. She also serves as Town Liaison to the Justice Courts, Ethics Board, Community TV, and Clark Road Barn Advisory Committee. She served as past Chair of the Public Works and Community Services Committees and as Liaison to the following committees: Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee and Penfield Little League.  

Councilwoman Lee earned her J.D. from the University of California, Davis, and her B.A. in English from the University of California, Berkeley. She is admitted to practice law in New York and California and has served the Rochester community in various capacities. She is a past member of the Monroe County Bar Association and served on its Ethics Committee (2018-2023); past member of the Administrative Judge's Task Force for the 7th Judicial District (2019-2020); past member of the Department of Psychiatry Advisory Council of Consumers, URMC (2018-2019). 
 
Councilwoman Lee resides on Browncroft Blvd with her husband and five children.
