~ Wisdom at its Finest Hour! ~

We are excited to offer classes and lectures to our consortium of lifetime learners. Engaging in intellectual, socially viable, cognitive activities help keep our minds sharp and alert, while reducing the risk or delaying the onset of age-related concerns. Daytime Education at Recreation (DEAR) has become an important staple to adults who understand the significance of this idea and would like to reshape the way they spend leisure time, meeting new and interesting people along the way.

Hello DEAR Friends! We are back to offering most classes in person at Penfield Community Center. If you would like to attend a program in person, please register online or use a registration form and the activity number. You must register in advance to attend a class. See all the current classes by clicking on the Program Calendar link on the left menu. Check back often for new classes and updates.

A grab-and-go/curbside pickup lunch prepared in our kitchen will also be available to purchase at our DEAR Sandwich Counter. Stop by the Sandwich Counter and order from a selection of delicious sandwiches and soups, all made to order! Weekly specialties, too!

A Message from Penfield Historian Kathy Kanauer:
The Association of Public Historians of New York State (APHNYS) has created a form for New Yorkers to record their experiences during this pandemic. It is important to our collective history base to document the effect of COVID on individuals. Information shared on the form will go into a state base and will also be shared with the municipalities if the individuals that respond. Please consider taking the time to participate in this effort. The link to the APHNYS is:
