~ FREE Online DEAR Classes ~
Hello DEAR Friends! At this time, we will be offering some classes four days a week at Penfield Community Center. If you would like to attend a program in person, please register online or use a registration form and the activity number. You must register in advance to attend a live class. If you would like to attend one of our live programs you will need to adhere to the mandated safety policies that are now in place. See all the current classes by clicking the the Program Calendar link on the left menu. Check back often for new classes and updates.
A grab-and-go/curbside pickup lunch prepared in our kitchen will also be available to purchase on Tuesdays and Thursdays. You can order a lunch online or call and place a lunch order up to 24 hours in advance. You are welcome to have lunch at the community center.
Are you on our e-news mailing list? We send updates, changes, and class information for all DEAR programs.
NEW TO ZOOM? The underlined colored link in each program description will lead you to the Zoom registration page. (If there is not a link that says Zoom, the class is only in-person.) Fill out the registration and, if done successfully, Zoom will send you a confirmation email that you will use to join the class. You must register for each class you would like to attend, but only once for any of the recurring courses.
Did you miss one of the Zoom orientation classes? No problem! E-mail Pam to set up a tutorial.
A Message from Penfield Historian Kathy Kanauer: The Association of Public Historians of New York State (APHNYS) has created a form for New Yorkers to record their experiences during this pandemic. It is important to our collective history base to document the effect of COVID on individuals. Information shared on the form will go into a state base and will also be shared with the municipalities if the individuals that respond. Please consider taking the time to participate in this effort. The link to the APHNYS is: https://forms.gle/ZUxePXJLcQC2fKCK8 |
