Penfield's annual Memorial Day essay contest is underway. This contest is sponsored by the Town of Penfield and supported by American Legion Braman Post 1229.
The contest is open to all students, grades 6-8, currently attending Penfield schools (public or private), as well as all Penfield residents, grades 6-8, attending public or private schools located outside the Town of Penfield, including homeschool students. Entries are due by May 5, 2023.
Submission details and entry form can be found HERE. The top three winners will each receive a cash prize and will read their work as part of the Memorial Day Observance on Monday, May 29, at Veterans Memorial Park.
