This month’s Staff Spotlight highlights the work of Jay Robinson, a member of the Town of Penfield Facilities Department.An employee with the Town since 2019, Jay helps maintain Town buildings and properties while also preparing facilities for special events and recreation programs.
Whether it is something as small as changing a lightbulb or moving chairs, he’s always willing to go the extra mile.
Recently, Jay played a key role in the repair of Town-owned streetlights. He also completed operator training for the Town’s door access and energy management systems which allows him to handle ongoing maintenance of both systems.
“We are really fortunate to have Jay as part of our team,” said Jim Kreckman, Facilities Foreman. “I appreciate all he does to make our department and Town successful.”
Though his work may often occur behind the scenes, Town staff members and residents alike benefit from his contributions.
Jay’s efforts at Penfield Community Center especially stand out according to Penfield Recreation Director Andrew Urckfitz.
Urckfitz added, “Jay is a true professional and always comes to work at the Penfield Community Center with a positive attitude and willingness to assist in any capacity. He often goes above and beyond the responsibilities of his position to make sure the job is done right.”
