Staff Spotlight: Pam Gerace, Senior Recreation Supervisor
Pam Gerace (pictured center) has spent several years working for Town of Penfield Recreation Department. Pam started with Penfield Rec as a contracted employee working with the Youth Performance Theater group YOHP (Young Open and Honest Players), and since that time she has worked her way up to her current position of Senior Recreation Supervisor.

Through her work, Pam is always looking to create new interesting, fun, and informational programs for the Penfield community. Pam has helped create, oversee, and expand the Daytime Education at Recreation (DEAR) programming with lectures, lunches, events, and different fundraising programs. She also helped establish and coordinate the Bri-Pen Senior Driving Transportation program which offers rides to Seniors in the Penfield-Brighton area.

It’s often said by colleagues and residents, “What would we do without Pam?” Her wealth of knowledge, kind heart, and passion for recreation is unmatched, and the Town of Penfield and Penfield Recreation Department are lucky to call Pam a colleague and friend.

A Recreation Department colleague added, “Since I started here, Pam has run the Senior Citizen Program. From developing programs to cooking (her food is incredible), and her special events, her creativity is off the charts!  The Seniors love coming here, and they love Pam.  It is safe to say, that with everything she does, she goes that extra mile. I am always amazed at how hard she works every day.  It’s not uncommon for me to ask Pam “do you sleep well when you go home at night?” You can tell that she loves what she does and wants to make sure everyone has a good experience when they visit the Rec Center. I enjoy working with Pam and always look forward to seeing what she’s coming up with next!”

Thanks for all you do, Pam!
