
The Local History Room, which is located inside Penfield Public Library (1985 Baird Road), offers a look into Penfield’s rich history through artifacts, photos, and feature displays. The room also includes rotating non-Penfield displays and information.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Anna moved to Rochester in 2001 and has been a Penfield resident since 2010. Anna is excited to share the history of Penfield and beyond with residents and visitors alike.
“We are so fortunate in Penfield to have a dedicated local history room with a rich collection of material from the Town’s past,” said Jarvis. “Land and census records dating back to Penfield’s founding, photographs of the Town in years gone by, school records, church records, Little League memorabilia. There’s something in here to interest just about anyone!”
The Local History Room is currently open at the following times:
- Monday, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
- Tuesday, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
