On Wednesday, April 6 the Penfield Town Board reviewed findings from a recently completed audit of the 2021 fiscal year conducted by The Bonadio Group. The Bonadio Group issued an unmodified opinion representing the best possible findings for audited financials. The findings signify Town financials are accurate and in accordance with established guidelines.According to Director of Finance Barbara Chirdo, the Town prides itself on a history of fiscal responsibility. The annual independent audit reinforces the responsible and transparent way the Town continues to operate.
“I am proud of the work we did in 2021 while navigating challenging conditions associated with the pandemic,” said Chirdo. “The opinion we received confirms the work we do at the Town of Penfield continues to meet high standards of effective and efficient use of taxpayer funds.”
