Town Board approves property tax exemption for volunteer ambulance workers and firefighters
On Wednesday, February 16, the Penfield Town Board voted to approve a property tax exemption for volunteer ambulance workers and firefighters.

The exemption will amount to a 10% real property tax exemption for eligible volunteer ambulance workers and firefighters who have served at least two years within Town of Penfield boundaries. Service length will be determined by local ambulance associations and fire districts.

Town Supervisor Marie Cinti:
“Volunteer first responders protect residents and property within our Town every day. Enacting this exemption allows us to recognize the selfless service of these volunteers.”
