The “Friends of the Penfield Public Library” (FPPL) announce the group’s 44th Annual Used Book Sale September 16-18 at the Penfield Community Center, 1985 Baird Road. Proceeds benefit the Penfield Public Library. All are welcome.
All books will be in two rooms this year, sorted into the following fiction categories: mysteries, science fiction, terror, romance, classics, and general fiction. There will be themed tables for children’s books, DVDs, CDs, puzzles, and specials.
Hardcover and paperback books are $1.00, mass market paperbacks and smaller are 50 cents. Many specials are individually priced. Shoppers may pay with cash or credit card.
“The Friends of Penfield Public Library are once again going to be able to conduct their annual book sale. This year’s sale will be somewhat scaled down from previous years due to COVID restrictions, but there will still be plenty of selection,” said Bernadette Brinkman, Penfield Library Director. “Proceeds from this sale will help sponsor programs in the library for all ages, as well as support some ongoing patron resources, such as museum passes and the free-to-patrons monthly book review publication, BookPage.”
