Town Proclamation recognizes Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
The month of September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month where childhood cancer organizations raise awareness and funds in honor and memory of kids with cancer. On September 1, the Town Board, along with Dr. Jacob Adams, board member of the CURE Childhood Cancer Association, presented a proclamation recognizing Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in the Town of Penfield. The Penfield community is home to young residents who are battling this disease. These kids are an inspiration to everyone for their incredible strength.

CURE is an organization that is dedicated to helping those children in our community who are diagnosed with cancer. This incredible organization is nationally recognized for its support for families with children diagnosed with cancer and blood disorders, whose mission is to work to increase awareness of the prevalence of childhood cancer. The Town of Penfield is honored to join organizations, families, and individuals around the world as we all help raise awareness of childhood cancer and honor and remember all those affected.

Hereby proclaiming September as "Childhood Cancer Awareness Month" in the Town of Penfield, the Town Board, and Dr. Adams,  urge the residents of Penfield, and communities across the world, to join in raising awareness of childhood cancer.
