Cinti sworn in, begins term as Penfield Town Supervisor

The Town of Penfield has a new leader as Marie Cinti begins her two-year term as Penfield Town Supervisor. Cinti officially started her term on Saturday, January 1 with a swearing in event at Penfield Town Hall held last evening, Monday, January 3, to formally mark the occasion.

As Town Supervisor, Cinti plans to build on the work of her predecessor Tony LaFountain and continue moving Penfield forward. During her term, areas of focus include:
  • Enhancing communications between the Town and its residents
  • Exploring ways to improve Town facilities to meet the needs of a growing community
  • Continuing Penfield’s well-planned growth with thoughtful projects to promote high-quality of life for residents
Town Supervisor Marie Cinti:
“I am honored to start my term as Town Supervisor, and I and the Town Board Members look forward to serving our community. I think much of the next two years will be focused on balancing the recent growth of Penfield with maintaining, and even improving upon, our quality of life and services to residents.”

Town Justice Jim Mulley, Town Clerk Amy Steklof, and Town Board Members Robert Ockenden and Candace Lee were also sworn in during the Monday evening event.

The Penfield Town Board will begin its work in 2022 with the first meeting taking place tomorrow, Wednesday, January 5 in the Penfield Town Hall auditorium at 7 p.m. The meeting will serve as the annual organizational meeting and set the stage for work throughout the year.
