Town Recognizes Student for Leadership and Service

Madeleine "Mary" Cotter has shown energy and leadership in academics, STEM education, and athletics throughout her high school years. On Wednesday, November 18, the town board recognized Cotter for her achievements in all those activities, and for her dedication to collecting and sending gently used footwear to children in Africa. Mary has managed “Re-run Shoes” since middle school, making her a shining example for all in the Penfield community.

The Town of Penfield acknowledges Cotter as one of Penfield’s finest citizens and wishes her the best in all her future endeavors!

Mary accepted this recognition from Town Supervisor Tony LaFountain during the Town Board's Legislative Session.
