Winter Show and Sale: Penfield Art Association

Congratulations to members of the Penfield Art Association on their upcoming 2021 Winter Show and Sale that begins February 1. Like every other organization, the PAA has had to pivot and adapt to a world with the coronavirus pandemic. Instead of their traditional gallery venue, this year members will share their work online in a juried virtual exhibit.

The group of about 70 artists from throughout the Rochester area will present work in a range of traditional media from watercolor, oil, acrylic, and pastel to more unexpected media like alcohol ink and octopus ink. Much of the work is for sale, making this a great opportunity to purchase original art for your home. If this exhibit holds true to those I have seen in the past, I suspect there will be a few Penfield scenes in the mix. You’ll have to go online to see for yourself.

This year's judge is Brian Keeler, of Ithaca. He is an acclaimed artist who maintains a studio is his hometown studio in Wyalusing, PA, and he teaches at Keystone College near Scranton. Brian also presents workshops in the U.S. and Italy.

The Penfield Art Association was formed in 1963. The Winter Show and Sale is one of the group’s three annual exhibits. The PAA welcomes artists of all skill levels who work in two-dimensional visual arts. To view the artwork and learn more about becoming a member, go to www.penfieldartassociation.com
