In January 2017, the Penfield Town Board began working with MRB Group to explore the potential construction of a new Department of Public Works facility. The current DPW facility was originally constructed in 1957. Over the years, the Town of Penfield has continued to grow, and the DPW facility has not kept pace with the growth. As a result, the Town Board continues to explore options to bring the facility in line with the current needs of the Town.
In February of 2023, Director of Public Works Eric Tait and representatives from MRB Group shared a preliminary proposal for constructing a new DPW facility. Below, you will find a link to watch the presentation and supporting documentation. The Town Board authorized the Deputy Supervisor to sign a contract with MRB Group for Professional Design Services for a New DPW Garage Facility on May 3, 2023.
