The Rochester Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America recently announced that Penfield Public Library will receive its Community Service Award at the HLAA annual dinner on Wednesday, May 24th from 6-9 PM at the Cobblestone Creek Country Club in Victor. Library Director Bernadette Brinkman and Adult Services Librarian Peggy O'Neil will be present to receive the award.
The Penfield Public Library was recognized for its assistance, interest, and concern with the deaf and hard of hearing in the community. Recent past recipients of this award have been the Rochester Broadway Theatre League and also AMC Loews Webster Theatres.
