Supervisor Column: Week of Jan 30
In past columns I have touched on the topic of exemptions. With
the deadline fast approaching, I thought it appropriate to enlist the
assistance of our Assessor, Ann Buck, to make sure I have covered this topic
thoroughly for our residents. First, there are two types of STAR exemptions
available: Basic STAR, a one-time application for your primary residence if your
income is less than $500,000; and Enhanced STAR, which requires an annual
renewal and is for residents who are 65 years of a
Penfield Trails Committee to Host Hiker's Jamboree
The Penfield Trails Committee will hold its annual February Indoor Hike on Saturday, February 11 at 10:00 AM at Penfield Town Hall. This year's hike is "A Hiker's Jamboree", a chance to learn about all of the hiking opportunities and trails programs in our area.
The featured speaker is David Wright of Victor Hiking Trails. Other local hiking groups will also share their programs and enthusiasm for hiking in Upstate New York.

Natural Gas Service Upgrade - Harmon Road, Penfield

Penfield Town Supervisor Tony LaFountain will present his "State of the Town" address for Penfield residents Tuesday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. at the Penfield Town Hall, 3100 Atlantic Avenue. All are welcome to attend.

Penfield Players Hold Auditions for Spring Melodrama
The Penfield Players announces auditions for its spring
melodrama: Egad! The Woman in White.
Director Nicholas Hambas
will hold auditions on Monday, February 20 and Tuesday, February 21 at 7 p.m. at
the Penfield Community Center, 1985 Baird Road. British accents for all roles
are recommended.
